''Araz 16'' is a modern house project which is located in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. It is located in one of the historical heritages of Istanbul. In Turkish Architecture, wood was very common material which was used in constructions. It is warm. But now, it's changed to concrete structures which is a cold material in the new modern world. The design idea comes from merging history and modernism and making them dance on the same stage. The warm material which revives history and a cold material which plays the role of modernism are separated from each other by a white line that is a plant carrier and a lighting system at the same time.
