Interior Designer for Havenly pop up shop in Short Hills, NJ. Designed
concept, space plans, color schemes, furniture and accessory specifications and finding solutions for clients on the spot based on 30 minute in-person consultations.

Freelance interior designer for Richard Mishaan Design in TriBeCa
Designed, detailed, developed, and applied ergonomic theory to a line of custom furniture.
Consulted on designs, layouts, lighting and custom millwork/furniture on residential projects.

Gramercy Park Penthouse + Philadelphia Row House
Adapted a penthouse to welcome a baby.
Designed custom closets and millwork.
Designed concept, space plan, and monumental stair in a 4-story gutted Phila row house.

Phipps & Co., New York, NY, US, Interior Designer and Project Manager

Phipps is a full-service Design-Build firm that began as a supplier of custom interior finishes for large scale hotel and multi-family residential projects.

Designed hotels and multi-family residential projects. Assembled budget and installation proposals which maximized construction efficiency, cost effectiveness, luxury and comfort.

Curated and custom designed all elements of FF&E within building-owner client’s confines of style, budget, schedule and LEED certifications.

Carried proposals through to completion once awarded managing subcontractors, vendors, installers, fabricators, shipping, warehousing, delivery, payments and invoicing.

Produced interior design, detail, slab and shop drawings, tear sheets, specification pages, renderings and put together board presentations using AutoCAD, Sketchup and Photoshop.

Sought out worldwide vendors, factories and fabricators of custom an¬d sustainable FF&E, wrote contracts/NDA’s, and oversaw production and delivery of items.

Joyce D. Silverman Interiors, Brooklyn, NY, US, Lead Interior Designer

Designed a Mikveh (religious institution intended for cleansing) in Brooklyn. Layed out lighting and space plans and designed FF&E for a lobby, reception, stair, blow out station, private full bathrooms, a bridal suite and two pools deep enough to fully submerge. Created ID drawings on AutoCAD, provided SketchUp and Photoshop renderings as necessary.

Designed Millo, a high-end jewelry store in Brooklyn. Conceptualized, space planned and designed materials, custom furniture, artwork and FF&E, oversaw installation by local carpenters, electricians and millworkers. Worked with a graphic designer on coordinating branding and interior design and created a board presentation for client to present to investors.

Adapted a garage in the backyard of a mansion in Deal, NJ into a guest house. Site measured the two-story space and designed a layout meant to accommodate long-term guests of the summer house as well as a space to host parties.

Designed a suburban home in Brooklyn. Layed out lighting and space plan, and created an ID drawing set. Designed custom furniture, millwork and light fixtures used throughout the house and worked closely with local fabricators to completion. Curated finishes, FF&E and artwork.

Assisted senior designers and principal in all aspects of design including drawing sets produced on AutoCAD, renderings done by hand and Photoshop, shop drawings and millwork drawings for various high end residential projects throughout NYC, Brooklyn, Hamptons and upstate NY.

Designed custom furniture for clients and coordinated production with manufacturers both local and throughout the US. Worked with vendors and installers throughout the city, and coordinated deliveries and installation.

Managed quotes and budgets for design proposals, attended meetings with senior designers, principal and clients in various stages of projects for which I prepared design presentations, specification sheets, purchase orders and tracked billing and expenses.
