MWA master-planned and provided full architectural design services for the new buildings and set Design Standards for the Tri-City Water Pollution Control Plant.
Resting at the confluence of two rivers in a rapidly growing community, the design team embraced a plan which located new operations, maintenance and storage buildings on the south edge to serve as a welcoming and enriching public interface.
Buildings are oriented and proportioned to take advantage of daylighting and natural ventilation. Organization along a central site circulation spine facilitates interaction and convenient access among departments. New facilities include: 7,500sf Administration/Operations Building – to serve as a front door to the community; 10,000sf Lab/Industrial Pretreatment Building; 14,400sf Maintenance Building; 10,400sf Field Operations Building.
