A Fisherman's Home

A Fisherman's home - 79 sqm of flexible space made of reused tiber structure and layers of nets. in Haifa bay, Israel

The Goal was to Creat a Space, a Home, as a result of the Fisherman’s
Emotional/ Spiritual/ Physical needs and as an answer to his own
concept of a Home. Using his art, language, world and materials.
Concepts to be interpreted are: Being In Between/ Flexibility vs.
Statics/ Motion/ Tension/ Temporality/ Between open and closed/
Limits vs. Free/ Visible vs. Hidden/ Between Day and night- Sunset

and Sunrise/ opening up towards the Horizon.
A 79 sqm dynamic house for a Fisherman
A “flying” floor structure connected to the Concrete shade fundaments, on which two dynamic Boxes in tension between them, made out of fishnets combinations and art. The bed and closets are built underneath the floor for a max. usage of volume and flexibility. the rotating wings, can be reassembled as a wall connecting both Boxes into one continues volume. The Net walls create infinite compositions of light and views , forms of intimacy & relations with the environment- opening the limits of the closed space/room. Questioning the outside-inside/ limits vs. freedom. A house made of Nets, made of Knots. The highest form of intimacy is a Secret= a Net inside a net, inside a net.
