About

I am a currently graduate student at Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) and will graduate with a Masters of Architecture in April 2014. WIT is well known for its Architecture program.  The Architecture Department boasts an accreditation for its Master of Architecture degree program from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). As I am an undergraduate from WIT, I was able to complete my Masters in 1 year.  Students come to understand the impact of architecture on individuals, communities, societies, and the natural environment that we share and safeguard. The profession is approached as a collaborative process, engaging diverse talents, viewpoints, and disciplines. I have learned a great deal in my studies at WIT.  The program stresses both the art and science of architecture.  My studies at WIT have helped me to appreciate how architecture affects the individual and our communities.  In addition to rigorous coursework, there is also an expansive studio program where we learn about our profession from an experiential approach. I’d like to highlight that in addition to the rigorous curriculum at WIT, I was also a student athlete for the men’s volleyball team.   I was a four-year starter and captain in my junior and senior year.  More important than being a leader on the team was being a member of a cohesive, winning team. As the setter I was dependent on my teammates passing the ball so I could then set the hitters to score points. Being part of a team provided great training for me to work on collaborative projects in the architecture studio.
