I am looking for examples (both "award winning" and plain old regular construction) of tall (30 to 50 foot) single residence buildings. Bonus points for ocean-front, lake-front, or something that was built in order to emphasize a view.
Yes, I did. There's reasons to ask on a board, instead of just googling something. Commentary, details, recommendations of artists, etc. Maybe you have some of these things to add?

Research is hard. better just ask online wankers to do the heavy lifting. I don't need to learn anything anyways.

How is this not "doing research" and why do you assume I haven't done anything beyond asking here?

Because it took us about five minuets of searching google to come up with the results you're looking for. Either you're inept or lazy.

If you don’t know what inept means, ask an online forum.

Yes, we get it, you're trying to be dismissive. Try harder next time.
I too am interested in this typology - mostly because my own house is 4 levels set into the side of a hill. I’d look up work by atelier bow wow.

I waver between really liking this one and thinking it's a little too precious with its Spanish Colonial pretensions...I'll let y'all decide for yourselves.
Out of everything going on here, the light is comically annoying to me, and I wish the front door were bigger. However, I’d live the hell out of that thing

Tower House is a great example. I bet the birds love the mirrored glass. *whap*
Japan has a lot:
Image-search of that led me here: https://kotaku.com/cramped-or-not-i-want-to-live-in-these-tiny-japanese-h-1051646360
Pretty good.
FYI that image is The Narrow House of Rokko by Seiji Fujihara. Kobe, Japan.

See, your homedone for your with less than 2seconds worth of effort.
Why are you doing it's research? Slow morning?
Why are you so angry?
Why are you so lazy and easily upset?

Excuses, excuses. You're becoming nice.
Hey now... shut up.
