If I have a degree in urban design, would I be able to pursue a job in landscape architecture or would I need a degree specifically in that?

To do the work, you wouldn't need a degree, much less an additional degree. However, potential employers might require certain boxes to be checked. In job postings, you'll probably come across a statement like "must have a degree in landscape architecture, or similar field" - you would fall into the later category.
