Alright, so how bad is it to include the note "architect to mark layout in field" ? I've got a custom shape to be sandblasted and it's too big for a stencil at an affordable price, and not enough time left to get one made anyway. Given the unique shape, putting the layout and dimensions on paper is getting too confusing. I designed the shape - I'm thinking I can just mark it in chalk in the field? Then the contractor would just mask it off and sandblast inside my chalk lines.
I know this technique is generally avoided on drawings but is it something I really shouldn't do at all costs? Help...

Draw it out on paper and dimension it properly. Then, and I know this is difficult, but trust your contractors to do it right. That’s their job.
