One of the lift tables of my construction company is having some issues. We bought 2 double scissor lift tables three years back. Last Thursday, when the worker hit the up button, it's squirting some oil from cylinder vents and after that it rose up. It's not operated since. What could have gone wrong with the lift? Anyone got any ideas?

Have you check the headlight fluid gaskets?

A little off topic? You know this is a forum for architects and designers, right?
Probably a seal failed so you don't have the hydraulic pressure needed to raise the lift. Or perhaps the cylinder or shaft were damaged. Or the hydraulic pump had a mechanical or electrical failure. Or there isn't enough hydraulic fluid in the reservoir. You need a mechanic to look at it.

...or the worker fucked it up and is trying to avoid blame.

Try replacing the grindshaft. Had that problem before!

We have a very good internet scissor lift repairman who is active on this site. Behold, Ricardo Balkins, certified scissor lift repairman.
He will go into how to register the equipment with the state etc. etc.
Call a fork-lift mechanic?
Thanks for the inputs. The issue is resolved. Some problem with the hydraulics. I needn't have to fire anyone. ha ha
