Connecting two historic (circa 1700) colonial era homes, is a modern interpretation of the classic stone farmhouse. Inspired by homes of the english countryside, Bonnet Hill is a home designed to soak up views of the meadows, and wooded areas that surround the site.
Two connecting structures (one glass, one timber) bridge the divide between the new stone farmhouse, and the historic homes. The glass connector is a space for circulation and brings an abundance of natural light into the new stone farmhouse, as well as a historic log home. A timber connector forms the breezeway and leads to an incredible covered outdoor fireplace.
The modern, rustic detailing in the new addition is inspired by history and elegantly spans the distance in time that the house represents.
