I will be graduating in April of 2016 from the University of Cincinnati with a Master’s Degree in Architecture, and I am currently seeking employment opportunities following my expected graduation.

Through my university mandated internships, I’ve accumulated over two years of professional architectural experience by alternating working semesters, with academic semesters. My primary experience is in competition architecture, and pre-design however, I’ve worked in all stages of design in a wide variety of markets including residential, healthcare, corporate, education, and public/cultural. My previous work experience was at HENN Architekten in Munich, Germany. Over the course of eight months, I participated in the submission of a multitude of competition entries for large clients, and assisted ongoing projects for current clients as well. My primary duties included digital modeling, presentation graphics, physical modeling, and schematic design. This position allowed me to experience a culturally different way of working, and although settling into the fast paced rhythm of the design studio was challenging, it proved to be a very rewarding experience.

Academically, I have explored a breadth of design methodologies, and building theories. Most recently, I’ve been developing my thesis on the subject of “building and identity”. The thesis argues that urban context and a sense of place and identity are informally connected, and by presencing facets of the physical and existential qualities of architectural context, new architecture can actively work to enhance the experience of the modern built environment. As a precursor to this thesis research, I was involved in the design and construction of design-build projects through METROlab. The projects utilized only readily available materials provided by the site, and aimed to activate an otherwise neglected urban space. The detail design and construction of these projects proved to be an opportunity to dissect the architectural process on a much smaller, and more relatable scale.

I would love to hear back from you if your needs match up with my skills and experience. I’d like the opportunity to contribute to a project team and learn from the experience and expertise that they can offer as well. I have attached my resume for your review which includes a link to my full portfolio. If you have any questions or any requests, please feel free to contact me at any time. My email is and my personal number is 513-884-4762.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
