Vancouver House will be part of a new phase in the city's very short but extremely successful history of urban policy. It will announce the entry point to downtown Vancouver from Granville Bridge creating a gateway to the city. The tower and base are an interpretation of the local typology deemed "Vancouverism": an urban podium coupled with a slender tower, which preserves view cones through the city while activating the pedestrian street. The residential tower is uniquely situated with views to the ocean and mountains, giving visual access to the breadth of Vancouver's natural surroundings.
