II. ART/FORM STUDIES

A part of the architecture education program of the University of Hasselt is an art class. This class teaches us to experiment with forms, shapes and colors. These are some of the results of the work I have done for this art class.

The first one is the form study of an existing building. We had to translate the architecture and concept in abstract small models. The building that we studied is the Tama Art University Library. The second one is an exercise where we had to create a volume and integrate it with the landscape that was given to us. The last one is another form study. It is a space frame inspired by the Fibonacci Spiral.

I think it is important as a future architect to experiment with forms and shapes to develop more skills. This class taught me to look at shapes differently and think outside of the box.
