My name is Merve Tatlı and I am an MSc student of Architecture for The Sustainable Design at Politecnico di Torino. I did my compulsory internship at AOT(Architecture of Things) Studio in Turin. I graduated from Maltepe University Faculty of Architecture and Design in Architecture in Turkey. Throughout my education life, my vision has always been to improve myself. And I have worked hard for this vision. I was never afraid to take the initiative and try new designs. I have completed many 2D and 3D modelling courses to improve my drawing skills. After my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a project responsible / architect in an international company working on aluminium façade cladding. In line with the demands of the employers, I took part in the completion of the project's processes, such as detail design, drawing of application projects, preparation of production and assembly layouts, performing quantity takeoff, order extraction and follow-up. In addition to these design processes, I increased my material knowledge with developing technology. I had the opportunity to develop myself in many areas such as communication skills, architecture, engineering and logic of mathematics, time and work management. Through my work experience, I realized that architecture is a private passage between reality, creativity and imagination. This experience has shown me that every project involves more than designing, and at the same time, it is logical, organized and complete to create and manage a construction project.
