I act as a part-time employee on an as-needed basis under a certified conservator. Work to-date includes: Surveying sandstone tablestones at the Ancient Burial Grounds in Hartford, CT (17th-18th cen.) and surveying the George Beach Monument at the Cedar Hills Cemetery in Hartford, CT (18th cen.).

As a designer, I assist on various projects under a Project Architect or Principal of the firm. The position requires proficiency in Revit, Autocad, Adobe Suite, Rhino, Vray, and being a quality-minded, clear communicator with strong organizational and collaborative skills. I am the active job captain on a 32,000 SF K-12 preparatory school from SD through Bid/Award, including site, building and details modeling and drafting. In this role, I actively manage consultants and coordination of BIM models. I was responsible for the submittal and back-check for Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) which is the Division of the State Architect (DSA) in California. Additionally I am the active job captain on (3) separate library feasibility studies, active job captain on a library building identification sign, and am assisting with design and backcheck for a 14,500 SF maintenance and operations building and 23,000 instructional building for a higher education client. I have experience with the bridging document process on a cultural project with historical elements reviewed by Historical Resources Board. In this position, I have completed (2) masterplans as job captain for library and community college clients, of which I wrote and designed over 200 pages of content.

The position description includes assisting with the creation and revision of maps and other graphics for presentations and boards, and with general office duties. The position requires proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint, and AutoCAD. As a planning intern, I created graphics specific to executive meetings or community engagement, including: building proposal, land use studies, site selection, site planning principles, exterior impacts, construction phasing and logistics, transportation, utilities, pedestrian way-finding, building lettering, construction signage, directory maps, departmental flowcharts, and project cross-sections, plans, and perspectives utilizing ArcGIS software for existing conditions. Additionally I revised the AEC Design Deliverables checklist to enhance the delivery of projects from contracted architecture and design firms. I regularly created and manufactured large physical presentation boards for Board of Regents’ meetings on gatorboard backing using high quality, gloss prints of planning and architectural imagery. With a drive to better organize the image banks and file structures of the office, I revised the internal Campus Planning templates and notations to create consistent department graphics for the future.

Under the 2018 Project Fellow Steven Lauritano, I studied Karl Friedrich Schinkel’s experimental work with antique remains, and completed a series of vase and building elevations in AutoCAD and Photoshop for use in an installation for the April 2018 Fellowship Research Showcase.

As architecture intern, I designed single family homes, drafted construction documents in Revit, and managed Lubbock permit submittals for 400+ homes. I regularly engaged with the City of Lubbock Building Inspections and Stormwater Management departments for plan check and compliance. Construction Administration work consisted of communicating with GMs and builders on details and schedules. For new design efforts, I assisted in the calculation of cost estimates and take-offs for new home designs, produced front-elevation renderings in Revit and Photoshop, and calculated HVAC Btu and tonnage requirements for REScheck submittals in across four municipal codes. Additional work includes managing the schematic design phase of a 10,000 sq. ft. community recreation center proposal, and a three-day 400 sq. ft. home-build in Liberia, Costa Rica with Homes of Hope.

As assistant, I scanned, cleaned, and organized 35mm film slides for the university online art collection. This included cataloging, researching slide information, and managing metadata for various collections including professors in the College of Architecture and their professional travels. The film was digitally corrected in Photoshop with backup file formats.
