Matthew Salazar

Chicago, IL, US

I was born and lived in Georgia for the first twenty-three years of my life. I moved to Chicago in 2011 for graduate school and future career opportunities. My interest in architecture and urbanity began at an early age. Currently, I am most interested in highrise design, parametric architecture, and the use of direct logic in site analysis.

I also have strong interests in photography, graphics, mapping, and programming. I try to associate these with my architecture and personal projects whenever possible.

I currently reside in Lakeview with my brother. My most recent employment was with the CTBUH.

Oversaw the creation and planning of a potential publication dealing with the similarities and differences of major world metropolitan areas. Daily tasks included data management, graphics creation, and project planning. I also helped with editing and maintaining material for publication in books, in magazines, and on the website. This entailed daily usage of programs in the Adobe Creative Suite and the Microsoft Office suite.
