As of the academic year 2013/2014, the University of Split Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy will be providing an international course in English. The school curriculum is focused on Architecture and Urban Planning in Mediterranean Environment.
MISSION
MAST is aimed at enabling the students to competently solve complex architectural tasks in an exceptionally demanding Mediterranean environment. Design and planning tasks motivate the students to face the problems of architectural practice in the sensitive natural coastal environment, as well as the inherited historical context and the authority of the spatial criteria and requirements. It also encourages the students to take a critical attitude and to develop specific designing skills in order to successfully rise up to developmental challenges.
DESCRIPTION
Upon successful completition of their study, students are granted a degree of Master of science in Architecture (120 ECTS points), accredited as a professional degree for those intending to enter the professional practice of architecture.
The master program addresses candidates holding at least Bachelor's Degree (first cycle, 6th EQF level, minimum 180 ECTS credits or equivalent) in architecture and urban planning. Prospective students should have sufficient knowledge of English (knowledge level B1 of the Common European Framework CEF). Admission is subject to an assessment of candidates’ achievements and educational background.
