Department of Architecture and Urban Planning has a modern and open curriculum, in the unity of theory and practice, the impact of local and global trends, based on a combination of architecture as art and as a built environment of great social, economic, technical, cultural, and developmental importance.

The main objective of the studies is to educate experts who lack a consistent and usable knowledge in the field of architecture and urbanism that can be applied in practice and is constantly upgraded. The curriculum provided for the different courses - from basic disciplines, through architectural and urban design, landscape architecture, interior architecture and design, conservation of architectural heritage, to courses that deal with specific topics. Study programs are in compliance with European standards regarding the conditions of entry, duration of study, the conditions of transition to the following year, graduating and modes of study.

Within the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, classes are held at all levels of academic studies.

Undergraduate studies last four years and defended diploma thesis, students acquire the title of graduate architect and 240 ECTS. Students acquire competencies that enable them to use professional literature, critical thinking, the ability to analyze the problem, the synthesis solutions and solving the real problems encountered in practice and continue their education if they choose to do.

Master academic studies allow students further training through a one-year study in three directions:

Architectural and Urban Design
Contemporary theories and technologies in architecture
Interior design

Students gain competence and academic skills, including the development of creative abilities and critical thinking, developing penchant for teamwork and mastering specific practical skills necessary for independent profession. After the tenth semester and defended master work gets the diploma master engineer architecture.
