winery project

The Project is design to be located in Cuenca - the east-south of Spain in the area covered by hectares of undulating vineyards with marvelous views in all directions. The programme is split into three parts, which means that production area is located underground, whereas visiting area with all customer’s services as wine tasting room or wine shop are on the ground floor. Additionally there is a restaurant for the visitors on the first floor. The efficiency and rationality come in a natural way to achieve the right conditions for the making and aging of wine: the grapes enter with gravity, serenity, darkness, stable temperature and humidity. Burying the building also makes it easier to approach, using modern methods, the architectural experience of traditional wineries marked by the form and texture of the walls and the scant penetration of light from outside to the production area.
