About

I am a third year Interior Design student at the Fashion Institute of Technology  minoring in Ethics and Sustainability. In my time at FIT, I have learned tools of the trade, programs, and have learned how to communicate professionally. The time I have been at school has taught me the industry and has allowed me to put it to use. I have learned how to be present and push-forward in the design world and question what is normal. In the past three years, I have also been a part of the Interior Design Club and have listened and learned from different designers in the field.

Upon entering my second year as a sophomore, I had the opportunity of working at Knoll in an internship position. There I learned a lot about the trade of the interior design field. I worked behind the scenes with clients helping them pick out colorways and concepts for their furniture and upholstery. From there I  began my time at Restoration Hardware as a Design Consultant, there I work directly with clients. Not only picking out furniture but also designing their space and making it a home and feel connected. In this position I also must keep close contacts with my clients, I help them create quotes and manage their budgets. These opportunities have helped me understand the design field and work directly with clientele.

My skills as far as software programs are relevant in AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhino. I am highly proficient in Adobe Suite and understand the shortcuts of using those programs. Alongside designing interiors, I also create my own furniture pieces along with custom millwork for the interiors. Presenting and public speaking is a common interest and task of mine due to our presentations and professionalism in school.
