About

I am a recent graduate of the architecture program at Virginia tech.Throughout my years at Virginia Tech I have always been intrigued by architecture influenced by the political, economic and social contexts.

Through my experience at Virginia Tech, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge about the different dimensions of architecture, which involve: the study of space and proportion through building physical models and utilizing computer software platforms; understanding construction detailing and including it in the design process; and relaying information of scale, dimension and materials through a standard set of architectural documentation.

Living in Amman, Jordan granted me a myriad of different experiences. Working on a design entry for the 7 Hills Skate park competition has granted me the gift of working in a team of five individuals who come from various educational backgrounds and interests. Working in such an environment allowed me to appreciate the sense of the collective and the importance of collaboration. I was immersed in a work environment and studio culture that cultivated a strong work ethic and enabled for a healthy exchange of ideas amongst team members. My most recent work experience at Rand Haj Hasan’s atelier has been instrumental in shaping my understanding of the city of Amman. Through research we were able to deduce Amman’s struggle with urban planning and the challenges that lay ahead to improving urban policies that inform the spatial fabric of the city.
