Our approach to designing this project is akin to serving a dish with red and black garnish. We have endeavored to use red and black colors complementarily in a triad on a white background in different parts. Another aspect that has been addressed is the differing structures of the two spaces, which include a lounge area and an office space. In the lounge area, a soft-textured carpet is used on the floor to induce a sense of calm, while the office space features hard parquet flooring suitable for high-traffic environments. In terms of the color scheme, the lounge space has a black floor and ceiling, creating a contrast with the white administrative section.
This renovation project is located in an office tower in the city of Mashhad, Iran - a small 65 square meter office space that faces spatial and structural limitations of the tower. Originally, the space had a private office room that divided the hall into two parts. During the renovation, the wall was removed to create a sense of more space, and a 1.5-meter wall was added to the administrative section to control the space and allow for the placement of a desk behind it, creating a more open space.
