Inspiration for The Amber came from the rich history of the building itself. The colors and materials chosen develop a narrative specific to the historic Fort Worth building. 109 Houston St. has sat across from the Fort Worth city courthouse since 1872. Taking on many different identities, the building has since served as a bank, hotel, saloon, jewelry store, and currently, coffee shop. This boutique hotel will serve as a place for couples to get away, business men and women to travel with ease, or a venue for weddings, graduation parties, reunions, etc. The Green Room is a place for guests and locals to grab a cup of coffee in the morning or a drink after work. The menu includes breakfast, lunch and dinner available to residents at all hours, and closed to the public from 12:00 am – 6:00 am.
