About

I am a LEED AP, WELL AP, and Registered Architect in both New York and Connecticut with over 16 years of experience in public and private academic, institutional, cultural, and large scale capital projects, making me an ideal candidate for this position.

After completing my Masters in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology, I practiced with notable firms like MGA and HOK, gaining both design, technical, and consultant coordination experience in service of exceptional project delivery. At the New York City Department of Design and Construction I took a larger leadership role, moving beyond my immediate project team to supervise an entire studio. I managed numerous concurrent projects, served as the primary liaison with clients, and oversaw general studio operations. I later founded my own design studio, ad:roit, focused on bringing great design to micro-projects. This has given me greater insight and appreciation for project acquisition, client and consultant relationship cultivation, and business development.

In addition to my architecture practice, I’ve held faculty positions at New York University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and the New York School of Interior Design, teaching introductory design and technology studio courses covering Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Cloud at both the graduate and professional levels.

My primary interest is the intersection of universal design with social and environmental sustainability in publicly accessible spaces. I see these ideas as the physical manifestations of respect, empathy, and consideration, which are fundamental to design excellence.

Thank you very much for your kind consideration.
