6 Salon (Maple) is an extension of the spatial and material strategies initially employed in the first salon, albeit in a vastly different space. This site, measuring 14 feet wide (at its widest) and extending 140’ from storefront entry to alley, allowed for a series of sequential spaces with the color bar emerging from a back room activity of chemical mixing to a lively, social space at the heart of the salon. (And as before, the client wanted good light.)
