About

LUIS VICTORI

312-925-5687 – lmvictori@me.comwww.luisvictoridesignlab.com

I am an Interior Designer (I also like to introduce myself as a storyteller) with over 10 years of training and work experience in interior design and architectural projects, both residential and commercial, in Europe and US. I hold a master’s degree in Interior Design from the prestigious ELISAVA Superior School of Interior Design in Barcelona and a master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have a holistic understanding of high-end/ custom residential and commercial design, architecture, and construction. I feel really comfortable tackling the complexities of any type of project, from schematic to CD and CA.

I have experience and knowledge in all aspects of the design process from design and development to documentation and execution. I own a wide experience in space planning, furniture layout, materials and products, FF&E selections, specifications, and documentation as well as attractive and thoughtful presentations and mock-ups. I also pride myself for paying attention to details in all design phases while working simultaneously on multiple projects. I am always highly attentive to schedules, deliverables, and budgets.

My experience from my current and previous positions endorses my curriculum with a list of diverse types of projects. I am particularly proud of the renovation of an early 19th-century house. Through creative ideas and an accurate selection of materials, I designed a modern project where we combined modern technology and materials with the beauty of original floors, walls, and ceilings.    I am particularly proud of a single-family house in which we introduced high levels of sustainability, most of them using passive architecture. The full renovation of the UIC Chancellor and Provost’s offices, meeting rooms, and the lobby was exceptionally challenging yet very rewarding. I redesigned (creatively and technologically) an outdated space that turned out efficient and beautiful. The project was especially gratifying as we had to overcome steep difficulties including red tape, budget, and time constraints.

At this time, I am interested in redirecting my career and becoming a member of a larger collaborative and highly creative team.

I am confident that my proven track record of work ethic, attitude, creativity, and unparalleled attention to detail and high-end interior design projects will make me an immediate asset at your creative and collaborative Studio and will allow me to contribute to your team’s success.

I look forward to discussing your opening and my qualifications with you in more detail.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration,

    Sincerely,

             Luis Victori
