About

Architecture, for me, is the art, passion and ability to record at any moment in time and space, our culture, the client's dreams and the architect's vision. It is a wonderful combination of form, function, technology and sustainability without sacrificing a peaceful, vibrant and livable integration of the site and its environment.

Lucy G'ala was born in the Dominican Republic where she completed her Architecture Education in Santo Domingo. After earning a degree in Architecture & Urbanism, she did postgraduate studies in Structure, Vernacular Architecture, Business Development & Sustainable Architecture.

She apprentice in several studios in the Dominican Republic and in Europe. During that time she studied the work of great Architects like Calatrava, Corbusier, Jean Nouvel and others. She came to NYC as a Vice-President of the Design & Development company Sanba International INC, where she was Project Architect & Project Manager of: 140 Franklin Street, TriBeCa, NYC, a 70,000 sq. ft.high-end lofts conversion; Garnet Hill, Sedona, AZ, a 6,000 sq/ft new residence on a 2.6 acres lot; Costa Careyes Polo Club, Jalisco, Mexico, collaboration in the design and development of an Equestrian Resort; Rio Dulce, Guatemala, collaboration and conceptual design of a 1300 acres resort development, among other projects, becoming the Youngest New York Woman Developer in 2000.
