Fire Department - Graduation Project

As the graduation project of my Architecture and Urbanism BArch, seeking to meet a need of the city I was born, I developed the project of a Fire Station located in Batatais, state of São Paulo, Brazil.

Thought and designed to be functional and sustainable, the project brings several strategies such as the green roof, which performs as a functional and contemplative element. There is also an internal gap that goes from the first floor to the ceiling and integrates the entire building, as well as providing natural lighting and optimizing internal ventilation.

On the façade, materials such as glass and wood were used. These materials, as well as the overlay of shapes, contrast with each other bringing up with the concept of the project worked on the project, fire and water. The color red is also used, referring to the activity of the fire department and helping to identify the building on the landscape.

Small living spaces were developed together with the building in order to integrate the project with the city, making the public place more inviting and creating comfortable spaces for the entire population to use.
