About

As a high school student, I graduated 1st out of a class of 660 students with a GPA of 4.22. I was also on the top 1% graduating class in all San Bernardino County. Upon graduation, I chose to pursue a degree in Architecture at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (CPP) because of its prestigious program and rigorous curriculum. CCP's architecture program is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board, and was named as one of the Top 20 architecture programs in the United States by the Design Futures Council.

While in school, I completed a 500 hour internship with the Los Angeles County Architectural Engineering Division, where I assisted the architectural staff in drafting, preparing technical specifications, and product research. Moreover, I collaborated in developing county standards for a prototype aquatic center. In addition, I was responsible for developing conceptual drawings for a school based health center. I utilized 3D modeling software to help the client visualize the building more efficiently. As a result, my supervisor considered me a great asset since at that time, no in-house staff was able to use such programs effectively. Developing community facilities for  Los Angeles County was a very rewarding experience that allowed me to see the positive impact that I can have as architect.

After receiving a degree in Architecture, I resided in Taiwan two years and traveled to other various Asian countries. Following through on my desire to live abroad tested my motivation and persistence, and I was able to prove to myself that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. The experiences and challenges of living abroad helped me mature as a person and broaden my outlook in life. I became more resilient and more of a problem solver when facing obstacles. Furthermore, as an English teacher I had to do a lot of advance planning, meet deadlines, provide effective feedback, work well with others, think quickly, and successfully   deal with limited resources. In addition to helping me improve my communication skills, I acquired the invaluable skill of being able to connect with people on a basic human level, including those from different backgrounds. My ability to effectively deal with adverse situations and my passion for pursuing new challenges makes me confident that I will be able to quickly adapt to your company's vision and culture.
