Without the dynamic lighting of a typical daytime building shot, this winter exterior view casts the museum exterior display in the soft but warm light of a late winter afternoon as snow begins to fall. The Portland Museum of Art competition submission is a carved mass of rammed earth grafted into the original brick facade. The simple color palette of soft muted colors, such as that of the rammed earth, stands in contrast to the (AI-generated) emissive art material forming the outdoor projection, which casts saturated reds and magenta highlights onto a field of white.
