Libby Augarten

Brooklyn, NY, US

I have an MFA from the New York School of Interior Design. I am currently employed at Cerami and Associates, a telecommunications and acoustics consulting firm. I am extremely detail oriented, a dedicated team player, and pride myself on being able to communicate clearly with others, especially in a professional environment.  I have a passion for public space, with interests ranging from office design to transportation hubs to institutions.

My background is in visual art, theater and education, all of which have served me well in the design world.

Robert Herring Travel Prize, 1st Place

Before interior designers can create spaces that enhance well-being, they must observe the different ways people work and live. Travel hones designers’ understanding of the relationship between culture and the built environment, and channels a global perspective into their designs. The family of Joseph Roman understood this when they initiated NYSID’s travel award in 2005.
