An architect's office design developed for a bluff on the edge of Santa Maria which overlooks the west coast and agricultural fields. The design explores passive solar heating and cooling, with thick massing and spaces submerged into the hillside. Low visual street impact yet dynamic cliff profiles define the style. The project was presented by a physical model and hand-rendered schematic floor plans, elevations, and vignettes on vellum.
