The Planning application for this replacement pushed the boundaries of what the planners find acceptable in a rural location.The site is bounded by the town center boundary so is considered in the “open countryside”. Although visually it is very much part of the urban form of the area. Challenges included extending the residential curtilage of the site up an exposed headland into the open countryside. Raising the ridge height on this prominent site and increasing the floor area five fold.
