A fifth year, Penn State University student majoring in Architecture with a focus in sustainable design. I am interested in designing projects with a regional modernism approach, where the project can reflect contemporary building tactics and aesthetics while pertaining to the given social and physical conditions of it's site. Highly inspired by my semester abroad in Rome and the various urban design and master planning techniques learned from my study.

Assisted with guided architectural tours of Downtown Pittsburgh and with the program, CampDEC (design, explore, and create). The camp is held for Pittsburgh public school students interested in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design. It provided them with the opportunities to learn by interactive projects and outdoor excursions throughout the Downtown Pittsburgh area. My largest role was guiding a group of students in designing a series of buildings and outdoor courtyards for an empty site nearby, which was then presented to a panel of professional architects.

Penn State University provides it's own institute for it's architecture students. At the institute, I attended an architectural design class where in a group of 3, we designed a master plan and building designs for a plot of land called the "Galoppatoio" in the beautiful Villa Borghese. Several other classes of interest were Architectural Analysis of both ancient and modern buildings throughout Rome. Roman cartography where we studied Nolli and his peer's ancient maps and walking ancient trails to discover the urban layout of Rome. Italian language where we learned basic conversation and survival language for navigating around Italy politely.
