Acclimating the levee

An urban and ecological intervention that encourages the interaction between architecture and water. Rising water levels and increases in precipitation are becoming greater threats to the urban fabric of St. Louis, and the initial response to the risk of flooding is resistance rather than resilience. This project approaches water as a layer of infrastructure while emphasizing a relationship between the community, the Army Corp of Engineers, and the Meramec River.
