The  new building increased the existing school capacity to over 400 students – IS/HS organization with approximately two classrooms for each grade. The new building was built in the available space on the existing community center yard facing Palmetto Street and was programmed to function in conjunction with the existing building.

The work of this project provided a new building as a complementary functional entity to the existing BUSHWICK/RIDGEWOOD YOUTH CENTER leased school building. The program for the new addition provides:

• Entrance Lobby,

• Administrative Suite,
• Instruction Rooms/Classrooms,
• Art Room,
• Science Rooms,
• Library,
• School auxiliary spaces,
• Kitchen/Cafeteria block &
• Auditorium
