Kostow Greenwood Architects design for the Miami office of Fir Tree Partners was selected as the 2015 SANDI “Project of the Year” by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) South Florida Chapter.

In awarding its highest honor, the SANDI jury commended the project for exquisite detailing, singularity of color usage, expression of texture and openness and a clean palette allowing sculptural quality of elements to intensify

Adapting the contemporary urban aesthetic of their New York headquarters to the atmosphere and culture of South Florida, this hedge fund office is forward-thinking and employee-centric. Accommodating staff of 17 in 5,000 square feet, while meeting SEC regulations for trading areas, we refreshed the existing fourth floor offices while expanding to a fifth floor above.  The staff truly utilize their space so function needed to follow form.

The program included open and private offices for executives; large, medium and small multiuse conference rooms and ample amenities. The larger conference room features a media wall that wraps to the ceiling with microphones that drop from it to obviate environmental noise.  For employee comfort, ergonomic chairs and adjustable heights sit-to-stand desks were provided throughout.  One small conference room contains high desks and chairs designed for video conferencing.  The fourth floor includes a full kitchen with lounge and multi-use dining area as well as a gym. Rising through a communicating stairway, the fifth floor includes a medium conference / work room and small pantry with drink station. An outdoor terrace with plentiful seating - and stools that glow at night complement the employee-first elements and take advantage of the climate.
