New York, NY
Westminster City Council has resolved to grant planning permission for 105 Victoria Street - a new 470,000 sq ft destination mixed-use development from WELPUT by KPF and Henning Larsen Architects.
The development will pioneer innovations that exceed sustainability benchmarks, provide nourishing spaces that enhance wellbeing, and reinstate a sense of community in London's Victoria. This will be a place that people are proud to work in, offering c.400,000 sq ft of world class office accommodation, with access to the most terrace space in the West End – including an urban farm and a ‘walk and talk’ track. The development will serve genuine neighbourhood needs with a Village Square that includes considered, independent retail plus a feature cycle ramp and stairway leading to a multi-purpose sports arena and auditorium that will be used for everything from PE classes to business events.
“We’re delighted to have received approval for 105 Victoria Street," says Ko Makabe, Design Principal, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. "The past year has accelerated the demand for high-quality workplaces that prioritise workers health and wellbeing. The benefit of coming together to work collectively is reinforced through the provision of informal meeting spaces that will help tenants to form strong social bonds.”
