Zhou, Shenghao (Knyck Chau), Assoc AIA, LEED AP BD+C, is a graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Architecture.
Knyck is a multi-disciplinary designer and learner. Apart from his major courses, Knyck took Interior Design, Furniture Design, and Motion Media Design courses. His works include architecture, interior, furniture, motion graphics, installation arts, jewellery, etc. Knyck's four years as a theatrical technician made him realise that buildings are not only shelters but containers for experiences. Therefore, Knyck is always exploring the potential that architecture interacts with its users.
During the years of study, Knyck comes up with a unique understanding of the relationships among design, space, and humans. He utilises BIM systems, computational tools, digital fabrication, and solid handcraftsmanship to speak his creative language. By exploring cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, Knyck aims to create buildings of emotional and economic value so they don't get demolished in only fifty years like most contemporary buildings do. He believes that long-lasting architecture is real sustainability that saves the earth.
