About

My professional experience includes master planning, site and building design to interior and furniture design. I have a strong interest in the craft of built environments and its role as a backdrop for contemporary culture. With over 30 years of experience in architecture and design, My goal is to seek innovative and sensitive design solutions by taking into account the site, surrounding resources and local culture.

In 1989 I started to engage architectural projects in Des Moines, Iowa with the 2001 AIA national firm of the year Herbert Lewis Kruse Blunck (HLKB) architecture. My projects have received local, regional and national AIA awards recognition, ID and Business Week awards. These projects have been published in Architecture, ID, Architectural Record and Business Week magazine. In 2000, I relocated to Minneapolis to work on large scale projects for workplace and hospitality. Today, I strive to balance building a studio culture that is committed to excellence engaging conceptually driven design with teaching and research for the architecture department at Dunwoody College of Technology.
