As a student of architecture with experience as owner and operator of a small business in landscaping, I am immersed in an exploration of the environmental design field and the complex impositions it has on everyday interactions as well as the whole of society.

Blueprint for Funcional Sustainability Competition, Honorable Mention
A partnership between the California Sustainability Alliance and Cal Poly Pomona Architecture department yielded a green building competition that begged the following question:
"How do you move beyond sustainable design to design strategies that ensure sustainable operation?"
The project was titled the Residential Environmental Science Campus and was set on the perimeter of the Joshua Tree National Park. My proposal focused the notion of sustainability and how the built environment may better connect humans to the earth we occupy, rather than sustainability as a superficial application of technology.
Design Excellence in Second-Year Design, Award
Of the 80-90 students of my second-year architecture class, the top 6 designers were recognized.
