The Baltic Sea: 377,000 km² of water and thousands of years of history and cultural exchange around. Baltic Sea Art Park is a continuation, a narrowing of these common ties among the countries bathed by its coast.
The project is structured in three parts clearly divided, but with a strong relationship between them: on one side the Park planning, secondly the Land buildings, and finally the Floating Pavilions.
For the organization of the new Baltic Sea Art Park we opted for a simple but effective operation: keeping the existing trees, and promoting the planting of new ones.
On the boundary between Land and Water, appears the “Baltic Circle”. A building that mixes terrestrial and marine uses. Finally, the Estonian Floating Pavilion.
The geometry of the pavilion is inspired by a wave. But thanks to that, it is also an adaptable pavilion. A “piece of Baltic Sea” beneath which find Estonian art treasures.
