A four year, CIDA/NASAD accredited program focusing on the education and experiential knowledge of professional interior design through examination and creation. Through the course of study, students are encouraged to experience and research different outlets of design to formulate and conceptualize thorough designs benefitting specifics lifestyles, productivity, and safety. Assignments stem from advanced studies in past and present design styles and methods that are interpreted, planned, and presented through various forms of media such as contract documents, computer generated as well as hand made models, presentation boards, and visual interpretations. Collaboration with experienced professionals is highly encouraged for guidance to better develop structural, mechanical, and electrical solutions that fit within building codes and standards. Through the completion of all courses within the curriculum and approval of an intensive planning and design thesis, a Bachelor of Interior Design degree is awarded.
