About

My name is Katerina but you may also call me Kat.

I am an Interior Architect, recently graduated with my Bachelors in Interior Architecture and Design from Academy of Art University.

I currently work for a consulting company called Unicorn Consulting. We specifically cater to Rent SF Now.  I remodel and convert units in recently purchased buildings mostly located in the tenderloin. I work closely with a structural engineer, who specializes in seismic retrofitting building with a type III or V construction. While focusing on building life safety codes, I draft proposals for new unit re-models and conversions. Once one of my designs are approved, I put together the constructions document set for that project, and submit it to the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection.

My previous employment was with Elemental Architecture in Palm Springs, CA, where I used my skills in AutoCAD and SketchUp on residential, multi-family, commercial, and hospitality projects.  I also met with clients during project site visits, submitted project documents to city planning staff for review, and attended planning commission meetings.

In my spare time I enjoy biking, browsing architecture blogs/sites, craft beer, charcuterie boards, rock climbing, and spending time with my friends, family, and parrot.
