San Francisco, CA
A home for an active family. A modest 1949 house was wrapped in a veil of cedar pickets then stretched back into the hill to establish a podium of bedrooms and services. Above, a new floor of living space opens through glass walls to a panoramic view and garden.
Suspended overhead like a ship in a bottle, a facetted bedroom suite hangs between skylights bringing sun-light deep into the home.
