My love for architecture and design started when I was a little girl competing gymnastics. All I wanted to do was design and choreograph my own floor routine and beam routine. I kept a notebook with me and wrote down every score I received. But in the back of my notebook, you could find floor plans.
In high school I was enrolled in Drafting all four years - which taught me a lot about the type of designer I aspired to be. I learned how to draw with different line types by hand, as well as on the computer. I learned AutoCAD and self taught a little bit of Revit.
While at JMU I was able to explore different aspects of design - interior, graphic, industrial, metals & jewelry, photography, and screen printing. All of which I hope to tie into my work.
