Investigation revealed wet& rotting plywood behind the tiled bath surround (and indicates an ongoing leak).

Removal of the "wobbly" floor revealed many years' worth of shims & incompatible materials (probably installed in an attempt to "level" the floor for tiling). All these materials were removed & replaced with a self-leveling lightweight slab.

Installation of electric radiant heat wiring to replace forced air vent (

Plywood was replaced with backerboard; new subway tile installed around the existing cast iron tub. Tub enamel was cleaned & repaired.

Adhered ceiling tiles to conceal the remaining adhesive & grout on the ceiling.

Clean new details refresh an old space.

Repurposed shutter, built-in storage.

Built-up (PVC) molding finishes the look.
