I am an Architect and Urban Designer from India with over 16 years of professional experience in Architecture and Urban Design. I am presently working as an Assistant Professor in School of Planning and Architecture-Vijayawada (SPAV), an Institution of National Importance under Ministry of Education, Government of India, since 2009. I have attained professional experience of high quality, working for large MNC's in India where my key responsibilities were preparation of detailed Urban Design and landscape schemes, preparation and compilation of Masterplan reports, analysing site potentials and preparation of alternative urban design models for various eminent projects. Recently, I was awarded Doctorate in January 2021 by the Department of Architecture, School of Planning and Architecture Vijayawada for my research on the topic “Floor Space Index and Liveability of Residential Neighborhoods- Establishing linkages for retrofitting”.
Apart from the regular teaching work, I have co-ordinated the SPAV permanent campus development work since inception for about 10 years to successfully completing the project. My contribution to the Campus was from the very early days of the School which includes successful organization of National level Two Stage competition, organizing meetings, reviewing drawings, review of estimates, preparation of project schedules, taking up decisions, and all necessary co-ordination between CPWD, SPAV and the appointed Architect. I was also appointed as the Incharge of Consultancy division in the School for about three years wherein I have worked for several Master Planning projects, Architectural projects and preparation of Detailed Project Reports.
I take every design as a challenge with high level of attention, extreme creativity and enthusiasm to address the aspects of context, cultural values and the regional issues. My passion, perseverance and hardworking nature has pushed me to achieve my goals and earned appreciation among peers.
I have also authored technical papers in the field of Architecture and Urban Design. I was awarded the Erasmus Plus Global Mobility scholarship to undertake part of my research at NTNU, Norway. I have also chaired many technical sessions abroad during workshops and conferences. My research interests are in sustainable urban forms, sustainable practices in the global and technologically driven cities and studies on compact and ecological cities.
I am a registered Architect with the Council of Architecture. I am also an Associate member of the Institute of Urban Designers-India and The Indian Institute of Architects.

Joining a National Institution in its nascent stage, opened up several opportunities for me beyond just academics. The most challenging task was handling the INR 150 crore estimated Campus Design coordination right from the inception of the School.

In the beginning of my architectural career, I learnt in delivering high quality projects for a Client like INFOSYS (the Software Giant) with the most stringent deadlines. The organisation expected a relentless completion of their upcoming Multiplex for Infosys Employees which had a huge 38 m geodesic dome as an external skin within 9 months. My role was significant in conceptualization and design development in coordination with Geodesic techniques pvt ltd. for the external dome structure, Study on theatre design and requirements, design discussions with INFOSYS team, design detailing and preparation of working drawings as per the inputs from Theatre consultants, frequent Site visits and site meetings with structural, Landscape, Acoustical, Electrical, Air conditioning, Interior and project management consultants.
