Kalos Eidos is a design office based in New York and led by Ryan Brooke Thomas.

Exploring the intersection of architecture with other modes of design, cultural research, and creative practice, our experience bridges a diverse array of project types and scales—from interiors, installations and objects to buildings and urban spaces. The interests of the studio span from the artifact to the city, with interdisciplinary expertise ranging from concept development and strategic research to material study and design execution.

Kalos Eidos creates environments that are atmosphere- and concept-driven, detail-oriented and holistic. Each project—whether large or small, permanent or temporary, public or private—is conceived with a distinct experiential story, spatial concept, performance agenda, and visual mood.
