About

I am a devoted employee with an intense passion for design and fabrication. In the last eight years I have worked in numerous digital fabrication and architectural design firms, using a variety of digital equipment, physical tools and modeling software. While pursuing my bachelors in architecture, at FAU, I worked in the architectural fabrication lab using and maintaining laser cutters, 3 axis CNC router, table saws, sanding tools, scroll saw, drill press and even built the first 3D printer in the lab. After graduating I managed an Architecture firm and model fabrication shop in Miami, Florida. Here I managed employees, maintained equipment and trained two offices of staff to use and understand modeling software, CAD plans, 3D printers, power tools, LED electrical lighting and a Laser Cutter in order to create over a 100 projects in 3 years. In 2018 I was accepted into the Master’s for advanced architecture program at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, IAAC. At IAAC I developed my skills in computational architecture, parametric architecture, robotic construction, 3D printing, fabrication, teamwork, presentations, design development, robotic construction, construction documents and more. By the end of my Master’s I had created a negative waste building material to be used in the field of additive manufacturing food producing architecture. I am a person who puts their full potential into everything I do and am looking forward to speaking with you further.

Sinter Form, Fort Lauderdale, FL, US, Founder and CEO

Founded by Justin and Mariel Sheinberg in 2017, Sinter Form is a professional robotic fabrication and design firm that's proud to offer its services to clients throughout the globe. At its most basic level, robotic fabrication is the act of constructing a physical project from a digital design. Robotic fabrication, at Sinter Form, begins with a 2D/3D modeled design that acts as blue prints to be used for construction. With its wide variety of tools; 3D printers, laser cutter, CNC routers, robotic arms, wood shop and more robotic fabrication becomes the optimal tool for any project. Sinter Form aspires to become a large scale architectural fabrication design firm that also provides the public with access to these unique tools.

Eclipse Yacht Canvas, Davie, FL, US, Fabrication Designer

Although it was a short employment, due to the fact that I was accepted into my master’s program, I implemented strategies for optimization for fabrication. This optimization for fabrication was done by using grasshopper to parametrically create patterns for fabrication. I then trained the digital modeling team on how to implement these grasshopper definitions into there every day work, which reduced the digital modeling time by 70%. To this day they are still using the definitions I created in order to meet the deadlines for the clients.

The Realization Group, Oakland Park, Architectural Model Shop Director

Within the first 3 months of my employment I moved from intern into a managerial position, by the end of the year I was training and managing a minimum of five staff members. My duties included, managing two offices, supervising staff, maintaining and operating laser cutters, 3D printers and working with clients such as; Perkins & Will, BIG, Arquitectonica, UM, Lennar Homes, Terra Developers and more to create over 100 architectural scale models within my three years of employment.

3D modeling and digital fabrication (Internship), Boca Raton, FL, US, Lead digital fabricator

After Graduating from FAU I was approach by a professor, in a separate department, to evolve her professional artistic work from 2D to 3D using digital fabrication. Using Grasshopper, Rhino, 3 axis CNC routing and SLS 3D printing I was able to create four unique evolutions of her work. Two of these projects, a 3D printed chandelier and sconce, were exhibited in the 2015 Art Wynwood in Miami. The other two projects were created using a 3 axis CNC router and were exhibited in galleries around the world. In this partnership I developed my skills in communicating with one on one clients to be able to bring the ideas into our realm.

Education

IaaC - The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, Barcelona, ES, Masters, Advanced Architecture

During my time at IAAC I advanced my skills in, presentations, communications, teamwork, AR/VR integration into Architecture, Kuka robotic arm construction, ABB robotic arm 3D printing, Computational Architecture, Parametric Architecture and even created a negative waste agricultural building material. I am very proud of this thesis research and advice you to take a look at the link... http://www.iaacblog.com/programs/claycelium/

Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL, US, BArch, Architecture

During my five years at FAU I learned how to implement digital fabrication techniques into my architectural designs using; 3D modeling, Wood working, 3D printing, Laser cutting and 3 axis CNC routing. I took full advantage to these tools and became the first student, at FAU, to ever CNC acrylic and created the first FDM 3D printer for the university.
